Caution - May Cause Smiles and / or Tears

I gave a bagette this year to a very special person to me. Her name is Jaclyn. Jaclyn is my godfather's daughter. We grew up together as "cousins". I have known her since the day she was born. In May of 2006 Jaclyn and I and the rest of our family felt the true meaning of the word shock. I thought I knew what it felt to be shocked until the afternoon of May 7, 2006. I happened to be with Jaclyn's sister when we received the phone call that her dad, my godfather, died at the age of 56. I cannot even put into words how difficult the following months were for Jaclyn and her sister Dawn who happened to be 5 months pregnant when their dad passed away. It was extremely hard for me to see them so upset. They were quiet, kept to themselves, did not leave the house much, cried often, and just were not themselves. These girls were practically like my sisters and I couldn't help them. It's a horrible feeling. However, one day over the summer, Jaclyn's boyfriend bought her a pug dog which she named Jeter. I visited her the day after she got the dog. She was laughing and smiling and energetic. It was so refreshing to see "Jaclyn" again. Jeter helped her through an extremely difficult time. Then, on August 31, 2006 Jaclyn's niece, Mia Jaclyn was born. She is Jaclyn's first niece. The never ending smiles returned to Jaclyn's face. The constant sadness lifted a little and it was such a good thing. All of this leads me to Jaclyn's Christmas gift. I had Jaclyn this year in a grabbag. I wanted to get her a memorable, meaningful gift. I chose a bagette with a picture of Jeter on one side and Mia on the other side. After a horrible year, I wanted to give her something that would make her smile. I loved watching her open it. Her face lit up and the bagette caused many, many smiles, and some tears. Thank you bagettes.com for giving me the opportunity to give such a wonderful gift. SB - North Riverside, IL

All for One and One for ALL...

As the end of last year drew near, I became anxious because of the approaching Christmas season. Every year, my husband and I share the shopping responsibility. He buys gifts for his side of the family, and I for mine. However, this year was going to be different. He was going to buy for the males in the family and I was going to buy for the females. I was 8 months pregnant with our second child and was struggling to make it to the stores with all of the hustle and bustle. So, I made the decision to do all of my shopping on line. I had to keep to a budget of $25.00 per person, because as soon as our baby was born, I would be on an unpaid maternity leave for 8 weeks. So, the search began. I needed to find the perfect gift for each person. Because of the price limit, the gift had to be personal and meaningful (and look like I spent more than $25.00-ha ha ha). After a few failed searches on the web, I came across this AMAZING site-Bagettes.com. This was perfect! I had time to get together some favorite pictures, and away I went shopping. I ended up purchasing 4 small cosmetic bags: one with a picture of my brother and sister-in-laws pride and joy Weimaraner, one with a picture of my 2 year old nephew dressed as a pirate, one with pictures of my neice and nephew (then and now photos) and one with my 3 nephews for my other sister in law. Then I bought 6 personalized name bags and filled them with little goodies. I felt so relieved that my shopping was done. With spending less than $200.00, I got 10 Christmas gifts done all at once. The most rewarding part, was the true heartfelt thanks from each individual. To me, their responses were PRICELESS. Thank you bagettes for a wonderful product that my family and friends will truly use throughout the year. TR - Olmsted Falls, OH

A Bagette of Hope

Two days before Christmas my mother-in-law, Shirley, was diagnosed with overian cancer. It was such heart-breaking news to receive at this festive time of year. On Christmas day I gave my sister-in-law, Shirley's daughter, a small cosmetic bag from Bagette's with a picture of her two young children on each side of the bag. My 3 year old nephew, Eric was pictured on one side of the bag sitting on an alligator. His 10 month old baby sister in her pretty pink dress was on the other side. All of us thought the bag with pictures was darling. Two weeks later my mother-in-law went into the hospital for surgery . My husband told me that Shirley liked the bag so much that her daughter let her take the bag with her to the hospital. Shirley said it was for good luck. Sometimes it's hard to know if the gift you're giving someone is the right gift. I was so touched to find out what a wonderful blessing the Bagette bag turned out to be for my mother-in-law. Thank's Bagettes for giving my family a bit of comfort and hope during a diificult time. CK - West Chester, OH

Mother and Mother-in-law gift

I really enjoyed giving both my mom and my mother-in-law
photo purses this year for Christmas.  What a great gift!  My
mother-in-law is really hard to buy for and my mom deserves the best!  So these
custom purses were the best choice for both of them.  I enjoyed seeing
their faces light up the minute they unwrapped their purse gifts on
Christmas day.  And since then, they have used their purses just about every
day.  Everytime they are out, they are getting a lot of attention and
admiration for their unique purses that they have. Thanks so much for
creating this unique gift for them!  I am sure we will be using your
company for many more years to come!  Thanks!  RH - Auburn, AL

Christmas without the Grandchildren

This is the first year that my husband and I have not been
able to go to his parent's house for the holidays.  My mother-in-law was
a little upset that we were not going to be able to spend Christmas
with them.  Our two boys are the only grandchildren that they have so far,
so they have a special place in their hearts!  They have always loved
gifts that the kids make for them so, I thought it would be neat to have
a bag made for her with their picure on it and have the ribbon
personalized with one of their sayings.  Well, she absolutely loved it!!  She
said "It captured their expressions perfectly and she loved the ribbon
on it!".  I am planning on making some for their great grandmothers for
their birthdays!  What a wonderful gift it makes and it is so personal.
I have told several of my girlfriends about them.  Plus, everyone at
bagettes is so helpful and go out of their way to make sure everything is
just right!!!  AF - Midland, TX

Holiday Gift Story

I am like many others in that I came across Bagettes.com
while looking for that special Christmas gift. I know that Bagettes ROCK
for anyone...but they were sent from heaven for those especially hard to
buy for types. You know the ones that have everything, and the things
they don't have they buy for themselves so no one else can ever buy them
presents they like! For me, the Bagette was the best find ever!!!

My "I have everything friend" really challenges me on gift giving
occasions, which is no surprise. But not this Christmas, because I found
Bagettes.com. At least that is what I thought. I had the perfect gift, but
not the pictures to complete it. The next challenge after finding the
website was getting my friend to send me her favorite pictures without
her really suspecting why. I finally convinced her to email me some
recent pictures of her kids that she liked and they were cute!! Only one of
the pictures she sent had her leg in the background and I knew, being a
person on a diet myself, that would be a problem. Thankfully the upload
site allows you to zoom in and cut out most of the extra stuff around
your pictures. There still was a little part of her leg in the picture,
but the up-close cute little boy in a cowboy hat made up for it!

As I had hoped, this year instead of the typical polite thank you for
your gift that I would normally hear from her, I got a "Wow! This is
really cool! Where did you find this?" response. I had done it...found
that perfect gift. Yeah for me and Bagettes.com! Although, I must confess,
not long after hearing those sweet little words, the comment "Nice fat
leg." followed. Oh well. In the end, she did truly love her gift, fat
leg and all, which just makes Bagettes all the more special! Thanks
again for making a great product and brightening the holidays for all!

I'm "the mom"!

I was looking for something special to give my 15 year old
daughter for Christmas when I discovered this website. I had seen a
picture of her and her 3 best friends that have been together since they
were little. They were all dressed up in Halloween costumes with thier
arms around each other. I got the idea to get each one of them the little
makeup bag with this picture on it. I ordered 4 of them and they came
quickley. I filled them with chapstick, tissues, breath mints and hand
lotion. I wrapped these each up and took them out to dinner and handed
them each one. They opened them up at the same time and screamed with
delight. Each one gave me a big hug. They were so excited and said
"you're the mom"!!! I felt wonderful to be able to be part of thier life
which is so hard to be at this age.  CC - Nantucket, MA

Mom's Suede Eyeglass Case

Hpim0740_1 I ordered my mom a suede eyeglass case for Christmas.
During Thanksgiving, I traveled to visit my parents.  I already knew I wanted to get her a bag from Bagettes.com so I sorted through all of her pictures in her dresser drawer.  I already had a picture in mind.  I found the picture.  It was a picture of my parents when they were dating.  It was in black & white and it was a very sweet picture.

The reason I decided to get my mom the eyeglass case was because while I was at her house on Thanksgiving, I noticed my mom's eyeglasses.  They were in a case I used for my glasses when I was in Junior High (1993).  I asked her why she was using my old case, and she said "Well, it's still in good shape."  So, I decided to get her a personalized case so that it would be something she could treasure.

When my mom opened her present, she was so surprised.  Everyone was commenting about the cute picture of my parents.  Then my dad said "Who's that girl?"  I immediately panicked.  I thought maybe I had chosen a picture of my dad with another girl.  But, I soon realized that my dad was joking.  Wouldn't that have been a nightmare????  JM - Thompsons Station, TN

Childhood memories

When I got married I had the two of my best friends, my
sisters, as my matrons of honor. Who else would fit the job? We grew up
only 18 months and 2 1/2 years apart.  We had our childhood issues;
sharing clothes, rooms, phones, going out with friends, playing in the yard,
playing sports, boyfriends, the whole deal.  As we grew up we
recognized the fact that "we" were the best friends we could ever have. We have
built a bond between us that is not seen nor heard of these days. We
still get together every Sunday for dinner at my parents, with all of our
families. We exercise together, call each other just to say "how are
you?", email and send cards.  I couldn't ask for better sounding boards,
confidants or friends.
For their gift at rehearsal dinner I gave them each a makeup bag with a
picture of the three of us in front of the house we grew up in. They
both cried and laughed at the same time. My older sister had her purse
stolen and then found with most things gone, but her makeup bag was in it
, then my younger sister got her purse stolen and never got her makeup
bag back.  I would like to win this contest to give her the bag that I
would win with the picture on it again.  She would absolutley love it!!
